All of our beautiful?Batik Fabrics are made from 100% Tanzanian cotton produced by women artisans. The fabric?is made by brushing hot liquid wax onto a piece of cotton cloth to create a desired pattern. The cloth is then dipped?into dye which adheres to any?area that is?not covered by the wax. Lastly, ?the?wax is?removed and reapplied repeatedly for each additional color.?This is a tedious and time consuming endeavor that yields exceptional art. This fabric can be used as unique home decor or as fabric for homemade clothing.?
